Just a friendly reminder to check your brake fluid. Most Mitsubishi Eclipse’s take DOT 3 brake fluid. Please be aware of this. Mine was 1/4 of the way full.

Mitsubishi Eclipse Body Kits

Body kits are the number one modification you can do to your Eclipse to improve the look of it. Here’s a quick rundown some tips when buying a Mitsubishi Eclipse body kit.

1. Ground effects are not mandatory on a body kit. These can include an air damn or even a side skirt that will fit under the bottom exterior of your bechile. This reduces the amount of drag that goes under your vehicle and will actually help to increase your MPG
2. A body kit can also include a wing or a spoiler. If the spoiler goes on the front, it helps to reduce aerodynamic drag. If you get a rear spoiler, it helps create what’s called down force and that increases the traction on your vehicle when you try to accelerate.
3. Body kits are usually made of fiberglass or urethane. The main difference is that fiberglass can be repaired if you hit something or if it breaks while urethane is resistant to softer impacts, but once it’s damaged then it can’t be repaired.
4. Don’t invest in cheap, off-brand body kits. You get what you pay for. Try to get a higher grade of fiberglass when your buying a body kit to save yourself headaches in the future.

Eclipse Tune-Up is Complete

So I got everything done yesterday on my Eclipse and I stayed up until 1 AM in the morning to get it done. It took me over 5 hours to get this tune-up complete.

Lesson Learned: Next time – start earlier and don’t wait until night fall to start 🙂

Big Day for the Eclipse Tomorrow

Well, its time to fix the Eclipse tomorrow. I’m going to give her a tuneup. I will be:

• replace the spark plugs
• replace the wires
• replace the hoses on the coolant system
• flush the coolant system
• rotate the tires
• change the oil

Then my baby will be good to me all summer long. baby = Eclipse

Old Mitsubishi Eclipse Commercial

Here is an old Mitsubishi Eclipse commercial that I found on YouTube.  This probably was one of the key commercials in showcasing why Mitsubishi named a car the Eclipse.  Very good marketing position by Mitsubishi by showing off a car and explaining why they named it what they did.
